Mark has always had
a flair for business and a strong desire to have his own company. He started a fire wood business as a
teen and was quite successful. He gained an
interest in the building industry by working on his own home. He ended up
doing almost everything himself because it was hard to find reliable help.
Because this was so successful, he decided to get his builder's license.
1995 started his new adventure as a licensed builder, as he gave friends and
relatives an opportunity to be the guinea pigs. The adventure gave
opportunity to build some Spec homes, and commercial projects. Now Mark
primarily stays busy doing custom residential homes. Having a crew, with so
many diversities, he is able to complete a project from the early stages of
excavation, framing and up to the finish which includes all the final
touches. He has a terrific crew that does outstanding work. Mark enjoys
the uniqueness of each one of the houses he builds, and likes to build it as
if it were to be his own. Many clients have put him in charge of not only
the big decisions, but also the minor details. Once they build a business
relationship, most often it has expanded to a down to earth comfort that is
appreciated by both builder and client. This comfort has allowed Mark an
opportunity that has proved to be a huge asset. His former clients invite
him to bring potential homeowners into their homes and see first hand the
workmanship done by Mark Priest Builders. When all is said and done, Mark
doesn’t feel a job has been successful unless his clients are satisfied with
their project and consider him a friend.
On his down time he
enjoys hunting, snowmobiling, races, and relaxing by cutting firewood for
the campfire in Canada. |
